These are our wonderful Labradors that have either served us well in our breeding program, or wonderful, adult Labs that are looking for a new, loving home . These are for our families that don't want to train a puppy, and need a more mature Lab in their lives. These adults come either spayed or neutered, or come with a spay/neuter agreement, and will make wonderful companions. They have brought many smiles to our faces, and they will always be loved and remembered. We are grateful to those that continue that love by adding one of our adults to their family.

Our sweet Buttercup is currently available. Buttercup had one litter of four, adorable, sweet puppies in 2025, but she was just not meant to be a mama, so we retired her from breeding.
Buttercup will be 3 years old in March, and is such a happy, lovey-dovey girl. She loves being the center of attention and gets along well with other dogs. Buttercup thinks she is a lap dog, she loves children and loves being with her family.
She is approximately 75 lbs., is microchipped and comes up to date on heartworm and vaccinations. Buttercup is house-trained, crate trained and is also spayed.
If you are interested in adding Buttercup to your family, please send a message below with your email address and phone number. I will contact you to see if Buttercup is a good fit for you and your family.

Why the name Buttercup?
Buttercup was born on March 19. This is the day that the Mayflower Compact was signed. The buttercups were blooming so prettily when we brought her home, and since one of our favorite movies is, "The Princess Bride", we picked the name Buttercup - a pretty "May flower".
Buttercup is an adorable sweety from head to paw, and has such a great temperament. She loves her chew toys and likes to parade around with one in her mouth almost all of the time. She loves to run and play, and is always looking for the next walk or jog to go on.
Higher Ground Labradors reserves the right to refuse any person if they do not deem fit for one of our puppies.
