Why the name Crystal?
Crystal was our third female introduced to our breeding program in 2022. Crystal was born on October 20, 2018. This is the name her previous owner gave her, so we just stuck with it.
Crystal came from an impressive line of champions. Her sire is Bella Valley Sir Noble's Bentley, and her dam is Papi Little Girl Zoey, which come from the great lines of GCH CH Devanley's Over the Limit and GCH CH Zinfndel Lengley's Big Papi. Her other champion lines include GCH CH Dickendall Buckstone Three Dog Night, GCH CH Saddlehill Late Knight Scramble, CH Ledgewood's Radar, CH Caer Bren Granville JH, CH Tabatha's Adventure Score, CH Levi's Loose Fit II JH, CH Kelder Labs Top Gun, CH Dickendall Princess Phoebe, CH Wit's End Jacks or Better at Blackwing, CH Rozzay Hunt Club Clayview Grady, CH Caer Bren's Water Lilly JH, and CH Shannon Valley's Beauregard.
Crystal was large boned with a nice topline and beautiful head. Her coat was the softest Lab coat we've come across and surprisingly, she was not a huge shedder compared to other Labs. She loved to play fetch and had such a super, sweet demeanor. Crystal didn't know a stranger, was known for loving to cuddle, and absolutely loved being the center of attention.
On 02/14/24, Crystal was seen by our vet for her regular, yearly checkup. She was happy, healthy and her normal, sweet self. That same evening, right after getting home, she was not quite the same, yet acting normal in a lot of ways. She was with us being monitored at all times resting and sleeping, but then suddenly took a turn for the worst. Crystal died in our arms on Valentine's Day evening. It may have been a splenic torsion, a cyst that burst... It was unexpected and it all happened so quickly. We were shocked, but we are thankful she did not suffer long. Even though Crystal was only with us for about two years, she blessed us with her sweetness and with one litter on 10/19/23, of eleven, precious yellows. She was our Sweet Crystal Jewel and is greatly missed.
